Unique "white box" performance / gallery space

About the Space

Our space is a nonprofit performance space dedicated to serving NYC's experimental dance and performance community, and has two beautiful, flexible dance/performance/gallery spaces with a number of amenities and functions. The Large Studio/Theater is a "white box" 1,875 square-foot studio and performance space. The room is outfitted with an LED theatrical lighting system, full range sound, projection capabilities, and a sprung wooden floor, which is typically covered with white marley (that can be flipped to black, or removed entirely). The seating risers (which can be removed) seat up to 68 people. The Small Studio is 675 sq. feet, and functions as a rehearsal studio, gallery, and meeting space, and features floor-to-ceiling storefront windows looking out onto Manhattan Avenue, white walls, track lighting, and a sprung wooden dance floor. Our spaces are great for film and photo shoots; live dance, theater, or music performances; music videos; film screenings; auditions; meetings; table reads, and more. With its central, fully-accessible location, and well-heated/air-conditioned spaces, CPR also great for holding, or for hair and makeup.
