About the Space

The renovation of this 1920s Spanish estate required preserving the charm and elegance of the original property while updating it to the modern floor plan. Inspired to capture the sophistication of the architecture, we applied texture and dimension quietly against the new modern lines of the interior. Keeping our classic taste in mind, a neutral palette allowed the relationship between the Spanish and modern to combine seamlessly. As the new design weaves through the main home to the pool house, we added bright colors and mid-century furnishings to fill the space, bringing a bit of whimsy to complete the facelift for this beautiful project. The pool house has a built in bar and beautiful hand crafters wood paneled walls, desk area, vinyl music area and a full bathroom. Large front yard with a hammock area surrounded by palm trees and a small fountain, classic tiled Spanish front porch and concrete cobblestone driveway. White stucco Spanish wall surrounds the property. Views of Griffith Park and the Wisdom Tree from the master patio and universal studios from the kids rooms. Large back pergola area with bar, bbq, chair swings and table tennis. Pool with hot tub, marble coping, wood decking, and a small cabana. Side yard with fruit trees. Full guest house with bonus room, kitchenette and full bath. 4 1/2 full baths in the main home. Full bath in the guest house.
