The Southern Zen is an oasis near downtown Charleston. Conveniently located in the heart of Avondale on a street lined with Live Oaks dripping with Spanish moss. The house was built in 1947 and the many windows flood the house with great natural light throughout the day. Newly remodeled Chefs Kitchen, new bathroom with exposed brick and shiplap. Three updated bedrooms with nice windows can easily be used as dressing rooms.
The outdoor space is a Japanese inspired Zen garden. Handmade natural water features that drown out the noise of traffic. Boulders for seating, pagodas and fire pit option. Winding rock path leads to the backyard that is framed by a beautiful Magnolia tree. There is an outdoor shower with Japanese style privacy screen. There are raised garden beds filled with edible flowers and herbs and lastly a custom made Japanese style foot bridge.
