About the Space
The California Room is a highly curated and carefully designed dreamlike space. This 700 sq. ft. studio in the heart of downtown LA is intended for photo and video use as well as intimate events and gatherings. Step out of the busy streets of downtown and into the earthy streets of an ambiguous beachy village. The design captures the tropical foliage of Tulum or the sands of Marrakech. Your imagination is the limit! Warm, neutral tones and custom fabricated arches give a primitive touch, while pampas grass and woven baskets serve as excellent props. 1300 lbs. of semi-loose sand have been positioned on the ground to create the effect of an old village. Plants, pots and furniture can be moved and rearranged. The chandeliers can be taken down if necessary. 6 lattice panels that cast unique shadows are included; 2 at a time can easily be hung. The windows have blackout curtains available at your disposal. Wifi is included. Seamless backdrop, fabric and more are available for additional costs.
