Built with Huon Pine planks and spotted gum ribs, Southwinds holds a significant role in English design pedigree as well as Australia’s yachting history. Designed by Sir Robert Clark and launched in 1950, she would have been one of the fastest and largest yachts in Sydney Harbour at that time. She has competed in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race and had many notable owners. Her large windows, expansive decks and rich timbers create a spacious and elegant atmosphere, whether for an event, filming or a photoshoot. She can remain at the mooring, or proceed under sail to various locations around the harbour. A chase boat is available for photographers. Custom sail options are possible.
