Stillrock by the Lake is an 1800's period house made of stone with original details -- only 1 hour from NYC! Endless opportunities for beautiful shots. Our house is one-of-a-kind in the NY tri-state area. Built in the mid-1800s, it is made of riverstones and real wood beams made from Cypress trees. The Great Room is the centerpiece of the house and features 16' high ceilings; a floor-to-ceiling fireplace with a wood stove; barn door; wagon-wheel chandeliers; a diamond-shaped window; skylights; and more. The renovated country kitchen has a small wood stove, stainless steel appliances, kitchen island, and farmhouse sink. Outside, there is a covered front porch, backyard stone patio, and plenty of space to set up tents for a commissary or other needs you may have for the crew. The house sits on 1/2 acre which includes an expansive lawn; a (non-working) well; and thoughtfully placed trees and bushes. People have described our house in many ways including “fairytale,” “medieval,” “Gothic,” “storybook,” “romantic,” “unique,” “original,” “old-fashioned,” “rustic,” “period,” “Cotswold,” “viking times,” “Game of Thrones style,” “European chalet,” and a “character house.” See videos: https://www.youtube.com/@stillrockbythelake See our website: https://www.stillrockbythelake.com/ PLEASE NOTE: We require an in-person site visit in advance of any shoot. It's in all of our best interests to meet and sort out the details. If you would like to shoot on Lake Mohegan which is only steps away from the house, please contact us.
