Book our Southern California Coastal Mountain movie filming locations, or "Maliwood," as we like to call it, for your production. We have over 25 years in movie set production and are confident we can meet your every expectation!
Described by John as "Malibu and Hollywood about 70 years ago .... an area where Old Hollywood and back-in-the-day Malibu has been preserved," our Southern California Filming Location is full of vintage glamour, European charm and lush coastal mountain space.
The boulders that are on our land are ancient and many of them extremely large with very unique markings.
We have exotic fruit groves.
The campground has a full bathroom inside of a hut that is built into the boulders.
A large 60 by 30 metal building can be transformed into just about anything that is needed.
We offer many years of experience in construction and design.... think "MacGyver."
The large areas of the land that are open are perfect for parking many trucks and vehicles and for constructing sets that may be needed.
We have many unique vehicles such as ATVs, tractors, and several classic sports cars. We also have heavy equipment.
We often are able to photograph wildlife very easily. Some of the wildlife include scrub jays, coyotes, bobcats, rabbits, many kinds of birds and ground squirrels.
We have the resources to bring in a wide variety of domestic and exotic animal talent for your project, including Kitty the Actress.
Seasonally, starting in February, we have many wildflowers and blooming plants that are native to California. Some of them are rare. The Coastal Mountains that define our area have a predominantly semi-tropical climate. With a team player attitude, we can offer unique skills, abilities and experience.
We know on location productions can be exciting but also challenging. No worries! We have you covered with WiFi, lodging and "made to order" catering.

Crew access is on the ground floor. There is lots and lots of space for trucks to unload and turn around. Many staging areas are available. All rooms and the exterior of the property are available for shooting.
Lighting
This coastal mountain location has very unique, special natural light. We can accommodate special lighting needs indoors, including blocking out the natural light.
Sound
We can easily make a sound proof space according to your needs. It is very quiet out here. No city sounds. Most people comment about how quiet it is. The type of quiet that makes your muscles relax
