About the Space

The Ranch-Is a small horse boarding facility located in Shadow Hills, a charming neighborhood nested between the 210 and the 5 freeway, minutes from Burbank Airport, Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles. The area is primarily equestrian zoned, one of the last remaining such sections within the City of Los Angeles. Shadow Hills is north of the independent city of Burbank near the western-most portion of the Tujunga Valley, a part of the larger San Fernando Valley which begins just southeast of the Hansen Dam reservoir. There are miles and miles of trails in the dam area, going through creeks of water and ponds, through shrubbery that is nice and shady during the hot summer trail rides. Moonshadow Ranch is a charming small boarding facility. Located on just under 3 acres, we offer roomy stalls for your horses, two arenas and several turn out areas, a smaller arena with shade cover, and half shaded turn out. The barn manager lives on the property for 24/7 security and emergency care. The barn is a small peaceful and charming facility, that also offers special events, film locations and much more... The Learning Ranch resides on the ranch, they are an all-inclusive animal therapy and learning paradise that encompasses the spiritual bond between animals and humans. Through ground-based farming activities, horseback trail riding, and social events, we strive to provide a meaningful destination for the entire community.
