About the Space

The Ranch offers a number of unique photo and filming sets, all within a five-acre area. The entry is a stunning double ranch gate with a large custom metal cut-out featuring the rs logo. The morning sun shines through one direction with the evening sun providing an altogether different perspective. At any time of day, it is quite a spectacle! To the right is a raw, undeveloped part of the ranch referred to as the "turnout." Giant oak trees and large, rounded boulders make for rugged yet curiously calming backdrops for a natural ambiance that hints at the earth's majestic history. Just behind, in the distance, are scenic mountaintops. Beyond the entry is a set of outbuildings that house the real stars of ranch -- the critters! On any given day, you'll find pot belly pigs, a mini horse and mini donkey, a handsome buckskin Quarter Horse, our family of alpacas, and little twin hair-lambs. Other rescues range from tiny Chihuahuas to Australian cattle dogs to a full-size donkey. Three types of fencing provide different scrim, depending on the look you want. A round pen structure made of solid oak with v-shaped cross boards and a 12-foot high gate makes for a ranch "glamor" shot, while the huge rectangular arena provides its own dramatic effect. Traditional white-rail fencing stands in stark contrast to the craggy terrain. You'll also find several vintage markers within the ranch, including the mirror-like Airstream, other trailers, and vintage cars -- these are available as additional locations. An outdoor bathroom is available with a standard toilet and sink available for guests. **PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to use the animals in your shoot or in the background, there is an additional fee of $50/hour because of prep, handling, and oversight during the shoot. We take amazing care of our animals, so thank you for your understanding!
