About the Space

MacDowell NYC, America's oldest and pre-eminent arts residency program, offers a beautiful gallery and event space just beneath the High Line in Chelsea. This multi-purpose and wheelchair accessible space is available for short-term rentals by organizations and individuals aligned with our mission who are looking for a moderate-capacity venue for presentations, meetings, exhibitions, cultural events, receptions, performances, and more. Space Specifications: Total area: 1,075 sq. ft. (divisible by glass partitions into 275 sq. ft. reception area and 800 sq. ft. gallery/event space) Wall height: 12 ft. 9 in. Capacity: 70 persons seated, 115 standing Kitchenette with dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and plateware Optional green room for storage/prep Base Rental Fees Include: Walk-through and event consultation Staffing by one MacDowell staff member Use of furniture, glassware, projector, sound system Use of conference room as a greenroom MacDowell does not provide: Amplified sound, livestreaming, or other A/V tech (we can recommend vendors) Stage managing or cleanup Catering or alcohol services Greeter at the ground level (required)
