The property features Joshua trees, tumbleweeds, wild desert plants/flowers, and mountain ranges in the background. You might even see some of the wild jackrabbits bouncing around the property. No film permit is needed. This is private property. Plenty of space for parking, and production trailers. Cell phone reception is pretty good. The location is located 90 minutes from Los Angeles in Lake Los Angeles. It is easy to find and located off the main road. Nearby restaurants are located off 170th Street and Ave. O, which is just a few minutes from the film site. Major hotels and restaurants are located in Palmdale. Price is dependent on crew size. - Small productions of up to 15 people is priced at $47 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours. - Medium productions of up to 30 people is $1000 per day - Large productions of 30 or more people is $2000 + per day.
