About the Space

Welcome to our handsomely renovated 1920's Craftsman bungalow located in the residential neighborhood of Ocean Park. We are less than one mile from Santa Monica Beach, OP 26, and the strand, also known as the bike path. The location is easily walkable, or bikeable, to Main Street, the Santa monica pier, and Santa Monica High School. Jocelyn park and a large dog park are steps from the home. Our neighborhood is adjacent to Sunset Park, Venice, and downtown Santa Monica. Upon entering the property, you are welcomed into a garden oasis with privacy hedge, mature strawberry, lemon, and orange trees, as well as a nod to Northwest landscaping. The porch is surrounded by overgrown ferns, hydrangea, flowering hedges, as well as wandering and blooming vines. Through a classic craftsman door, you will enter to appreciate a 3 bedroom, 4 bath home with an open floor plan entryway. To the left is a casual sitting area, and to the right a fireplace with built in bookshelves. There are two childrens rooms in the home. The first belongs to an elementary student, and has a queen murphy bed, walk in closet, and renovated en suite bathroom with tub, herringbone tile, and updated vanity. The second childs' room belongs to a middle school student with navy blue full sized loft bed, desk space below, and a music station for the aspiring DJ and musician. This room also has a renovated en suite bathroom with dark grey tile floor, walk in shower, and updated vanity. The bedroom closet has double french glass doors. Upstairs, the 3rd master bedroom is complete with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The decor is minimalist white oak with king bed, dresser, and standing desk. Double french doors are flanked by transoms to provide beautiful natural light, opening to a porch overlooking the lush, landscaped backyard. There is a dangling rattan chair in the doorway. The master bath has been renovated with a custom oak double vanity, and has a dark green tiled rain shower with a bear claw tub to preserve the homes craftsman legacy. There are hardwood floors throughout the home, with the exception of the downstairs living space which has refinished concrete. Downstairs you will find a renovated guest bath and bonus room. This is the soul of the home, and ideal for entertaining. A Cisco white sectional sofa is framed by an earthy but sophisticated RH ensemble coffee table, credenza and dining space. Glass nana doors fully open to allow for egress to a flagstone patio and indoor-outdoor living. The yard is L shaped with artificial grass, flagstone, firepit, grill, and an ADU that matches the main house. The renovated ADU has pitched wood ceilings, recessed lighting, skylight, oversized windows, and dark painted walls.
