About the Space

We turned a conventional 5-room 1257sqft high-rise HDB unit into a flexible open-concept studio. While we appreciate the openness of our home, we have sliding doors and partitions in place to demarcate spaces as required. For example, our open-concept kitchen can be partitioned off by a sliding door. Similarly, the master bedroom and study can be closed off for greater privacy. We kept to a minimalist approach when designing and decorating our home. Tired of visual clutter pervasive in our daily lives, we sought to create a peaceful sanctuary free of excess stimuli. You will find minimal decor around our home, but we hope that our space serves as a canvas for your needs. We are proud that our home comes with spectacular unblocked views of Bukit Timah and its surrounding greenery. Our apartment also boasts plenty of natural light during daytime hours. After sunset, our home uses predominantly warm lights. However, we have some accent lighting which may emit daylight. Unlike traditional HDB apartments, we do not have a gate. Entry into the home is via a door which utilises a smart lock. The lack of walls in our home help facilitate crew movement, and provide ample space for the set-up of complex videography equipment. Power sockets are conveniently located throughout the apartment. We live next to Ghim Moh market where (great) food and other amenities are easily accessible. A loading bay and multi-storey carpark are available directly under the block. Lastly, note that there is an additional room (not shown) that’s suitable as a holding room or for equipment storage.
