A new two-story contemporary home in southern Dallas, 7 minutes from Fair Park and the Cotton Bowl. Hard architectural lines, white walls, black trim, and five genuinely distinct looks under one roof. THE LOOKS 1. THE FIREPLACE WALL. A floor-to-ceiling black-veined marble slab with a linear fire, in a 21-foot living room, with a black open-tread staircase with lit treads beside it. This is the hero. It holds a wide, a medium and a tight, and it reads high-end editorial on camera. 2. THE KITCHEN. Chef's kitchen with a waterfall marble island, black shiplap hood, 6-burner gas range, double wall ovens and white tile. Open on both sides, so you can shoot through it in either direction. Works for food, lifestyle, product and commercial. 3. THE DINING WALL OF WINDOWS. Dining seating for 12 under a linear chandelier, against large windows. Soft directional daylight for most of the day. This is the natural-light room. 4. BLACK MARBLE BATH. Freestanding soaking tub, black marble surround, gold fixtures. Beauty, fashion, fragrance, editorial. There is a second white-marble bath with black fixtures for a completely different palette. 5. EXTERIOR. Covered patio with a fire pit and outdoor dining, a fully fenced backyard, and a large private upper balcony looking out over open green space and treeline. THE THING NO OTHER HOUSE HAS Every bedroom has its own private full bathroom AND its own kitchenette, with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee station, on top of the full chef's kitchen downstairs. For a shoot that means three self-contained rooms: hair and makeup runs out of one, talent holds in another, the client sits in the third, and nobody is walking through your set to get coffee. PRACTICAL - Three full bathrooms plus a powder room. Talent, wardrobe and crew are not sharing one. - Three bedrooms, each with an ensuite bath and its own kitchenette. - Room-darkening shades in the bedrooms when you need to kill the light. - Full kitchen with a walk-in pantry, a second refrigerator and an ice maker for craft services.
