About the Space

This house is in the "Stranger Things" neighborhood and was built in 1950. Though not the typical Eichler style it has its own modernist look. Lots of large windows, and original wood paneled walls give it an organic modern feel. It is open and conducive to production. Surrounded by mature, tall trees, and an acre of land all around, it has a natural, forested feel. 10 cars can comfortably park on the property, and the quiet cul-de-sac across the street can accommodate lots more parking. The house is a mixture of retro-modern and contemporary modern with a lot of warm wood tones. The sunken living room has large windows, white-washed wood panelling, and a brick fireplace. The more contemporary kitchen/DR also has large windows, steel countertops, and natural toned wood paneled walls. The windows in the kitchen and LR both look towards the back of the house which is mostly forest. There is an office and a tv room which both have the same wood paneled walls as well as built-in wood work tables. The exterior is brick but can possibly be painted if needed. There is lots of exterior space all around the house, much of it quite private especially when the trees are leafed out in the summer. Tall trees surround the house and populate the entire area, though there is plenty of open yard space and natural gardens.

    I had a photoshoot at this location with a crew of about 12 people. First, the space offered great options for indoor and outdoor shots. BEAUTIFUL natural light from the windows and a great mix of plants outdoors. But, the host Rusty made the experience so amazing. We had a long shoot day and he was pleasant, accommodating, and supportive in helping us move paintings etc for some shots. And, he’s just a warm hearted and very cool person. Thank you sooooo much, Rusty! You are a gem! As well as your place.

    Amazing shooting experience! Rusty is the best–so accommodating and understanding, a pleasure to be around. All the furniture is 1 of 1 so make sure to protect it when you're filming :) Would love to shoot here again.
