Mid-Century Home Remodel

About the Space

Our property is a remodel and addition to an existing 1960's mid-century home. The home's original open floor plan was re-established to create open space throughout maximizing views of the surrounding landscape. Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors blur the lines between indoor-outdoor living, bringing in ample light and extending the living area outside the house and into the landscape. A simple elegant palette of materials was used to echo the qualities of the existing home and to preserve its original spirit and character. The home is set on almost 2/3 of an acre with sprawling grounds that include a rectangular swimming pool, an outdoor fire pit and a terraced large grassy yard.
