One of LA's most striking event and filming locations — an 11,000-square-foot industrial cathedral built inside the city's first private power plant, tucked into the sub-basement of the historic Higgins Building in Downtown LA. A dramatic cantilevered concrete and steel staircase descends into a vast space full of original power-plant machinery, soaring ceilings, and turn-of-the-century detailing. The look is unlike anywhere else: restored turbines, generators, and utility relics set against rich ambers and reds, vintage furnishings, and warm low lighting. It reads as part gilded-age glamour, part retro-futurist Metropolis, which makes it a natural fit for period pieces, music videos, fashion shoots, brand activations, and atmospheric events. The space is flexible. Hidden nooks and intimate lounges work for smaller gatherings, while the main hall and modular stage handle large performances, shows, and seated dinners. It holds up to around 600 standing or roughly 250 seated, with several distinct rooms you can use individually or together. It's fully production-ready, with in-house sound, lighting, projection, and a DJ booth, plus a full bar with an active liquor license and an on-site kitchen for catering. There's a parking lot next door at 253 Main St for easy guest access and load-in.
