11 acre historic Village set in Amish countryside. Take a step back in time where craftsmanship and lavish decor are showcased in each of the 8 buildings. All the structures have their own personality and story. Serene and quiet setting within the property, county of 101 lakes. Special features include: many antiques such as blacksmithing station, mail sleigh buggy, mill separators, grain bins, old farm machinery, horse fence, stained glass, brick floors, 15 inch log cabin walls, hand hewn beams, vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, long porches, rolling hills, historic handwriting on walls, grand victorian rooms, old craftsmanship throughout property, and split stone wraps 7 of the buildings on lower level. The original visionary of the property moved several of the buildings to save them from a dying railroad town. His intention was to create a museum. As he collected many of the antiques preparing for his collection, some of them were so large, he lowered in with a boom and then placed the roof on. They remain there today stored in the upper levels of the 2 mills where they are still trapped. We are the 3rd owners of the Village and are set to retrieve the antiques in the next couple of years. They can be viewed by climbing to the upper level so the 2 mills. Many of the pictures will not capture in its entirety what the Village offers. It has to be toured and then its understood more fully.
