Spanish Revival free-standing house with Moorish details - centrally located in Hollywood with easy access right off the 101 highway and Highland Ave. Large, FREE public parking lot 2 houses away for extra parking for larger vehicles and overflow cars. One of kind architectural details make this a historic registered site for LA and an exquisite location for shoots and interviews. Main House features: •~1800 sq feet home with tall ceilings •House has a one of kind 35-ft tall rotunda room graced by a winding, majestic staircase •Adjacent 'dining' room has 14-ft ceiling •Entry room/Fireplace room features ~14.5-ft ceiling, 2 sets of large french doors, 8-ft wide wrought iron chandelier •An additional unfurnished patio exists off of the rotunda and has views of the Hollywood Hills Other key functional areas for crew: •Bathroom and kitchen available for crew use •HUGE free parking lot 2 houses away for cars and larger vehicles, located at corner of Highland and Milner Avenue •Easy access into house with minimal to no stairs •Property located right off the 101 highway and Highland Avenue Fun Facts about the House/Area: •It is the oldest still standing structure in Whitley Heights, dating back to 1913 •Actress Norma Shearer met her husband, director Irving Thalberg at this house •The house retains numerous original details throughout including cement hand prints of Vessey in the courtyard, stain glass window, original ceilings •The home was often referred to as Scarab Studio as was the setting for numerous salon gatherings and entertaining in the 1920s, 30s and beyond. •The money earned from filming goes into restoring and maintaining this historic compound

Amazing location. Thank you to the hosts for being so kind. This home is beautiful both inside and out. The backyard is landscaped to create cozy seating / entertainment spaces. The interior is an architectural marvel with a stunning staircase. Will book again.

This space is beautiful and unique. Leah was a fantastic host. She was super accommodating to our myriad of requests, and gave us free rein to do what we needed to do to make the shoot a success. We filmed a couple interviews here, but I actually think it would be a cool venue to host an event or do a photoshoot.
