About the Space
This historic riverfront home is among the few Green Bank Burlington homes flanking the Delaware River. Three floors of retained architectural details are featured in the 6 bds, 6 working fireplaces and 4.5 baths. Built in 1756 as a summer home for the family of Judge Edward Shippen, a wealthy Philadelphian. In 1778 his 17 year old daughter Peggy fell in love with and later married Benedict Arnold, an American general who served as a spy for the British during the Revolutionary War. It is located on the corner of talbot street and the Delaware river, 18 miles upstream from Philadelphia, on the New Jersey side. Historic and antique decor throughout. Plenty of entertainment space. Spacious backyard with inground pool and hot tub. River views and space in front of home on the promenade. This is definitely a location that can be used for many different sets.
