About the Space
This space is located in downtown Macon, Georgia. Built in 1889 as Macon's first library, the original woodwork and stained glass windows were carefully restored by Widner Associates when they purchased the building from Historic Macon in 2005. On the 3rd floor is a luxury suite, appropriate for VIPs and other dignitaries. The 2nd floor includes the ballroom, with a vaulted cathedral ceiling and original woodwork. It can accommodate up to 220 people in a stand-up cocktail style event and 175 at a seated dinner event. Without tables, the ballroom is a great setting for dances, arts and crafts shows, and more. The venue includes a smaller, more intimate setting in The Ladies Reading Room, where a beautiful fireplace compliments the bay window set against original brick work.
