We've worked with Michelle and Vincent in the past at a different location they host through Peerspace. I was excited to work with them again, as they were very friendly and accommodating. Our team had fond memories.
Unfortunately—and to no fault of Michelle nor Vincent—I mistakenly booked the venue for the wrong day. I realized two hours into the booking when they reached out to ask for my team's ETA and I profusely apologized. I offered to pay the site rep for their wasted time at the venue and asked if there was any way we could forego the cleaning fee since the space was never used, or if we could reschedule for another day with a prorated or discounted cost, as again, the venue was never used, and the site rep was made aware of the mistake before the day was over. Again, I assumed all fault, but was looking for some sympathy for a $1400+ purchase.
They contacted me outside of Giggster and said we would lose the total cost. They said they didn't realize it was a holiday weekend (Sunday before Labor Day) but because of that, they would not reimburse anything.
Of course, I accept full responsibility for my mistake in the booking. I simply find it unfortunate that these hosts were unwilling to budge on any fee or offer us a deal for our rebooking. As humans, we all make mistakes. Please take this as a warning to review your booking details carefully.
