About the Space
Introduction from the Owner As the owner of Ideal Sets, the Glendora location represents one of the most ambitious expansions I’ve ever built — a completely indoor “mini backlot” designed to give filmmakers the freedom of an exterior street set with the full control of a soundstage. My vision for this space was simple: create an indoor neighborhood where productions can shoot day or night, rain or shine, without noise issues, weather delays, or city permits. At the center of Glendora is a full L-shaped American commercial street, constructed inside the warehouse with real sidewalks, architectural depth, and detailed façades that look authentic on camera from every angle. These façades include boutique storefronts, office fronts, restaurant exteriors, and residential-style row houses — giving productions a complete street without the unpredictability of a real location. Among these façades, four builds feature fully developed interior spaces: Luxury Storefront Interior Bridal Store Interior Modern Restaurant & Bar Interior Modern Office Interior (second floor above the production office) These interiors were designed with film lighting, camera movement, and blocking flexibility in mind, allowing seamless transitions from street exterior shots directly into complete indoor environments. Every other structure on the street functions as a façade-only build, giving productions the freedom to stage walk-ups, wide exterior scenes, drive-ups, or tracking shots without needing additional construction. I built Glendora to give filmmakers the ability to create an entire sequence — exterior arrivals, storefront interactions, interior scenes, nighttime looks, and stylized street moments — all under one roof, with total control over lighting, sound, and schedule. Even the warehouse exterior itself can be cheated as an office building or industrial facility, adding even more flexibility for productions that need quick exterior establishing shots. This location was built from real production experience — with workflow efficiency, visual quality, and maximum creative freedom at the heart of every decision. Whether you’re shooting a film, series, commercial, verticals or music video, Glendora gives you a controlled, cinematic urban environment without the unpredictability of real-world streets.
