About the Space
Congleton is a market town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. The town is by the River Dane, 21 miles (34 km) south of Manchester. The House is located in the town centre with a busy commercial street to the front, and a surprising large garden to the rear feeling like a very rural setting. Earliest recorded records are from 1750, but building is older, and cellars considerably so as would have been part of a timber property preceding the current house. The house was once part of Bradshaw House - owned by the Judge who sentenced Charles I to death.
