We booked this spot to shoot a music video for our band. Has an absolutely wonderful view of the city and its buildings. Michelle was really gracious in letting us book it and Juan was a very fun guy and helped us get in and showed us around. Couple things to keep in mind though - Parking and dropping off gear just sucks. But that's not on them, its just the hassle of downtown L.A. if you have a lot of gear. Get there early. We parked in a parking lot across the alley that was in the recommendations when we booked because trying to brave street parking was a no win scenario for us that day. Even though there are elevators (those were a fun ride up and down lol), to get to the roof, a flight and a half of stairs are still required to climb. Carrying amps and drums up there made us feel like we were in that Friends episode where Ross' couch gets stuck haha. There was also a minor setback with having no electrical outlets on the roof but if that's not needed for your shoot then this place is something you should definitely consider. I would definitely book again if I needed to shoot at a rooftop in the future.
Great place and nice people.
Experience was great. Michelle and John were very helpful, and Michelle keeps great communication.
Highly recommend. Very attentive and load in and out was easy! Felt very safe and we shot here at night time. Exactly what we needed! Pro tip - if you are shooting here during the summer bring a canopy!
Awesome host! Flexible and helpful! I will find another project to shoot here! What a view and cool rooftop space!
The overall rooftop space was very nice! A lot of great areas to shoot in. The only trouble I had was with parking. It's easier to park in the underground parking in the building a few buildings down. It's $25 cash total but is secure. The other thing is the actual building you enter the rooftop through, doesnt have a doorman (or didn't when we were there) and we had to go down the street to let the guy know we were there and needed to be let up. Not my favorite experience in the beginning, but the over all space again was great and for being downtown, not too loud!
