Stonewood Castle, built in 1931 and inspired by the enchanting French châteaux of the Normandy region, is a truly rare gem. This storybook estate features hand-crafted curved stone walls, a drawbridge-style walkway, arched doorways, and French doors that open to Juliet balconies. Inside, guests will find a breathtaking spiral turret staircase, original hammered-iron railings, wide-plank hardwood floors, and a picturesque gazebo garden with a slate patio—perfect for lingering, celebrating, or capturing unforgettable moments. Nestled on a quarter-acre in a serene, tree-lined neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia, this exquisitely designed home is affectionately known by locals as “Rapunzel’s Castle.” The five-story residence offers 2,500 square feet of living space, including three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, and provides an unforgettable backdrop for your next event. Stonewood Castle specializes in intimate, micro gatherings/events, less than 25 people, and available for select events (Weddings, Bridal Shower, Engagements, Birthdays), Photoshoots, and Filming. Dining Room Soft sea-green paneling wraps our Dining Room in a gentle embrace, its color reminiscent of antique jade that accentuates our rustic French Farmhouse Table with seating for eight. Every panel, every trim line, feels crafted to cradle the room in charm and intimacy. Against this soothing backdrop, warm wood tones glow like honey from our original wood floors: the grand dining table stretches forward with its rich, hand-carved legs and polished surface, inviting long conversations, lingering meals, and the kind of laughter that grows more magical by candlelight. Parlor Room Our Parlor Room is the heart of an old-world romance, where stories linger in the air long after the last note of our Steinway Grand piano fades. Dark wood framed bookshelves hold leather volumes and porcelain treasures, hand-hewn beams stretch across the ceiling like the framework of a centuries-old manor and walls rise around you like the embrace of an old-world library. A Juliet Balcony sits across from a nine-foot tall 19th century Trumeau Mirror from a NY Gilded Mansion and crystal chandeliers cascade softly downward, scattering gold across the room in a glow that feels almost candlelit. Plush damask Bergere chairs rest atop an expansive Persian rug in front of a marble-trimmed fireplace flanked by gilded sconces and tall, draped windows displaying views of the trees outside, whispering an invitation to step back in time. Iconic Turret Steps This spiral staircase, carved from stone and winding gracefully around a central column, feels like the beginning of a fairy tale. A graceful stone archway curves beneath the castle’s walkway, creating a sheltered passage where ivy spills like green silk down the hillside. The pathways wind like tender gestures: a gentle slope here, a curve there, leading to hidden benches and moss-covered steps that feel like invitations to linger.
