About the Space
The private garden-level floor in a historic 1850s townhome of the Georgian/Italianate tradition features two decorative fireplaces - one impressive white marble fireplace in the reception room and one traditional brick fireplace in the dining room/library. The original window panels and hardwood floors throughout further provide a glimpse into the home's grand past. The two main rooms are divided by french doors, which preserve a sense of openness. The minimally furnished space has bold-colored lounge seating and intriguing antique pieces that offer a cozy atmosphere with a midcentury modern flair. Most furniture may be reoriented to accommodate preferred layout. The expandable dining room table seats 4-8 and has 6 matching chairs. Additional folding tables and chairs available. The large emerald green/white country-style kitchen with open pantry shelving is convenient for catering service and offers a stainless steel island perfect for food prep. The powder room/laundry room is accessible from the kitchen. Just beyond the kitchen is the entrance to the expansive zen-inspired courtyard featuring a mature ginkgo (male), dwarf japanese maples, and white pine trees along with shrubs that line a central trail towards a pebbled open area under a fig tree that is framed by small vegetable garden boxes. The bluestone walkway along the courtyard edge leads to a large pergola and decommissioned fountain that was transformed into an herb garden at the far end. The pergola is covered by grapevines. The courtyard is also accessible from a grand brick wall entry from the alley. The interior and exterior spaces can separately seat up to 24 people comfortably, with standing room for up to 50 guests total permitted. Inquire about 2nd floor private 1 bedroom guest suite with black marble fireplace and 12 ft ceilings that may also be available for reservation.

Instead of for filming, I booked this space for my quarterly team meeting. The day was beautiful and we held our entire day of meeting in the courtyard under the pergola! Salima was a great host and when we wanted to sit outside she made sure we had everything we needed to include bug repellents and power cords! My team voted it the best meeting ever! Highly recommend if you want to get creative about where you meet!

We booked Salima's property for a sit down interview and Salima was very helpful and informative throughout the preproduction and production day processes. The location was beautiful and the crew stated that load in/load out was very easy. Salima answered all of our questions and made the check in/set up process easy for everyone. If you are looking to film in Baltimore this is your location. Salima was a wonderful host. She responded right away and answered all my questions. Salima was super resourceful and made sure we had all the info we needed . This location has ample on street parking. We were able to load in the front and back of the space without any issues. The backyard is secure so we were able to leave some of our equipment out side.(leave at your own discretion) We also added to our booking and rented out the 2nd floor which is just as gorgeous. Upstairs gave us an alternate option to film in if needed. In this case we were able to have holding and our office set up separate from our set. The next time we film in Baltimore we will come back to this location if it is available.
