About the Space

This is an East Bay historic neighborhood live music venue and bar. Founded in 1940, the venue spent many decades as a local hot spot and was transformed into a music venue in the 1990’s. It is the drumming heartbeat of the East Bay music scene. It is founded on the genuine belief that music is for everyone and every person should have access to the magic of live music. Our passion and deeply held mission has always been to create a safe, friendly and diverse environment for our community to express their art, have access to and be profoundly affected by music. The venue is located in Albany, CA and offers a small-town ambience with its central location in a major metropolitan region. The venue is situated in a pedestrian friendly business district composed primarily of small "mom and pop" shops, and home to some of the Bay area's best restaurants. Our space has two large, adjoining rooms that create an ideal layout for special events. One area caters to the cocktail, beer and wine bar while the other room centers around the live music sphere with professional lighting and sound and an optional photo booth to rent for your event. When not hosting private events, we operate as a music venue that's open to the public. Our bar minimums are relative to your group size, time and day of the week and whether or not we will be closing to the public for your event. Things to remember while booking: * No extra cleaning fee charge for event. * No additional event insurance is required. * This is a 21+ only venue with full bar services. * Free use of our folding tables and chairs. * Outside catering is allowed * Bar services must be through venue * Live bands and DJ must accommodate our Room sound engineer This music venue available for Events, Meetings and Photoshoots/ Film shoots.
