Dunnsville Virginia Farmhouse

About the Space

I have a 3 story American Gothic type, 2500 square foot, 100 year old farmhouse (built in 1914) in the town of Dunnsville, VA. The house is made of wood and floors are pine. There is a long, well-lit staircase just as you enter the front door. This staircase makes a right turn at the top stairs. There is another staircase for the back entrance. (2 interior staircases) This second staircase was for servant use. Each room has a quaint fireplace. There is an unfinished full attic on the top floor. 2 bathrooms are original with the third on the first floor recently added. This is a home which was built on the historic Virginia Tidewater Trail and remnants of the trail are visible on the front property entrance. Approaching the property in the front you can also see concrete remnants of carriage stairs on either side of the sidewalk. There are arched windows, a bay window, and a full wrap around porch. Mature trees and a carriage house are on the 5 acre property. The home is about a half mile away from river access.
