About the Space

Welcome to our purpose-built daylight studio at Queen and Spadina designed for working photographers, directors, and producers. Situated in a historic, repurposed clothing factory, we offer over 650 sq. ft. of uninterrupted south-facing daylight, 12-foot ceilings, and classic brick-beam architecture, creating a naturally bright, open environment ideal for both photo and video shoots. The layout is deliberately clean and unobstructed. Our French-cleat rigging walls are designed for complete flexibility within the space and are perfect for rigging backdrops, building small sets, or custom installations. The rigging walls can also be equipped with Manfrotto triple-hook seamless systems, fully adjustable to fit 4’, 9’, or 12’ seamless paper. Lighting tripods, knock-down styling tables, a rolling rack, a Jiffy Steamer, a sit/stand desk, and seamless options are on hand, while a dedicated makeup and prep area ensures the team has room to work without crowding the set. A spacious enclosed kitchen with a commercial sink, 24" range, under-counter fridge and freezer, microwave, and Moccamaster coffee maker supports longer or food-focused productions and private events, keeping things self-contained and efficient. There’s little furniture, no co-working clutter, or excess props—just a dependable, customizable studio space that gets out of your way so you can focus on the work. Our building features beautiful hardwood floors, a loading dock with a freight elevator and a passenger elevator for easy load-in, and communal bathrooms directly next to the studio suite. The studio is ideal for portraits, tabletop and still-life work, small to medium fashion and beauty productions, music videos, interviews and private events.
