A beautifully styled mid-century modern home located in Joshua Tree’s dreamy Yucca Mesa. Has a privately fenced yard with a desert landscape. Includes a cabana and cowboy pool to enjoy the 2.3 acre desert landscape. You're just about 18 minutes from JT National Park's west entrance, and only 15-25 minutes away from other local attractions such as Pappy and Harriet's and Giant Rock. Originally built in 1955, the house reflects the history of the mid-century wave of modern design brought to the California desert. Has an open connected living room to kitchen with plenty of golden sunlight throughout. In the main space, it has plenty of comfortable seating and authentic vintage pieces with a free standing Preway fireplace and Bang and Olufson turntable. There is a large leather couch and two 70's Togo designed chairs. Also, the main space includes a projector and Apple TV. The kitchen has marble and butcher block counter tops, and retro style appliances. With 2 bedrooms, the home comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests over night. It’s furnished with ultra-comfortable cooling hybrid memory foam-spring mattresses and 100% percale weave, 200 thread count cotton bed linens. In the primary bedroom, we provide a king bed and in the guest bedroom, we have a queen bed. Our blackout curtains in the bedrooms will also block out most of the bright morning sun for those wanting to sleep in. The bright sunlit bathroom features two free-standing basins and a large walk in shower. For additional convenience and comfort, we’ll be providing robes for our guests as well as bath product from Public Goods. - Just as importantly as the interior, we'd like for you to also enjoy the 2.3 acre desert landscape outdoors. Our main outdoor feature is our cabana which will provide you shade during the peak sunny hours of the day. After taking a dip in the cowboy pool, you can lounge in the cabana or decompress with yoga with mats provided. The cabana / pool area has an outdoor shower and fire pit with lounge chairs. For outdoor meals, we also have a BBQ and table setup in the backyard under string lights. - In terms of location, we're fairly central! The property makes you feel like you have your own desert landscape because of the 2.3 acre property size with privacy fencing, but it is also close to a lot of shops and restaurants for convenience. You won't be feeling stranded! We're only a 9 minute drive from the central Highway 29 strip where the majority of Joshua Tree's shops and stores are at. This highway strip will be where all of your needs can be met for shopping larger commercial grocery chains and restaurants to smaller local shops and markets all within 9-15 minutes away. There is also a very small bodega called Mesa Market only 3 minutes away for quick last minute store runs.
