About the Space
Originally built in 1914 as a hunting lodge, the house sits at the peak of Elysian Heights in Echo Park. The incredible view of the San Gabriel mountains is too the East. From the edge of the deck, the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory are visible to the West. With natural cedar walls, the house has a distinct "cabin" feel with multiple Craftsman-style built-in cabinets, bookcases and breakfast nook. The house also feature a hidden door stairwell connecting the upstairs and downstairs. A large, multi-level deck is featured in the front yard while the back yard has a wrap-around deck and concrete patio. Native California plants fill both yards. The entirety of the exterior facing walls are windowed both upstairs and down. A detached working garage sits to the northern edge of the property. An original Craftsman-style fence surrounds the 5000 sq ft property.
