About the Space

This charming, century-old arts and crafts stone home is situated on a half-acre wooded lot in the foothills above LA, with plenty of room for parking for crew and beautiful spaces for both interior and exterior shoots. It's located near the 210 and 2, one mile above Honolulu Avenue in Montrose, which is a popular location for exterior cafe and street scene shoots. We're within the LA studio zone and used to accommodating crews. The public areas of the house include an airy, styled kitchen with marble counters, a world map mural, and two walls of wraparound casement windows; a spacious living-room with a working fireplace, a dining-room that can accommodate up to 12, and an unusually large front vestibule with a vaulted ceiling, glass doors, and three large windows. (All windows through out the house look out on private, verdant exteriors.) Two bedrooms are available for shoots, including an airy, primary suite with light oak floors and glass French doors, and a smaller room with high ceilings that is currently set up as a guest-room/office. The property includes an unusually large private yard with mature trees, a spacious patio (can seat 60 people) with beautiful stone walls and a stone fireplace, an elevated side porch with planters, a cafe table and a beautiful view of the yard, and numerous large trees. There is also a cobalt blue-tiled pool and hot tub under an commodious oak tree, and a charming guest house with exposed beams (currently set up as a music rehearsal space with drums, keyboard, etc). The guest house is currently not available to rent but if interested let us know and we'll create a separate listing.
