About the Space

This is a full-service production studio within the 30-mile studio zone, less than 10 minutes from both the 14 and 5 freeways.  Our studios are available for the community through rental opportunities with both space and equipment support for most productions -- from student to independent to network and streaming. Our studio includes a full control room, 4 in-studio cameras with the capacity to add additional cameras, and 14-foot ceilings with a 12-foot grid.  A parking lot is attached to the studio and available for an additional fee. Additional parking is available nearby. The studio is available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with flexible hours available upon request for an additional fee. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization and the only television station based in Santa Clarita, exclusively covering the area. We take that responsibility into consideration with all of our operations. We define the job of a community media center in many ways. This includes creating our original programming that highlights local culture and civic affairs, facilitating educational training and providing industry connections to students and interns, and using our connections and channels of broadcast to be a platform for community groups and members to come together and interface. For more than 25 years, our mission has been to operate the City of Santa Clarita’s Public, Educational, Governmental Access (PEG) cable channels (Spectrum 20 & AT&T 99) and Community Media Center under contract with the Santa Clarita Public Television Authority; to provide its platform and media services through community access and original programming opportunities that highlight local arts and culture (Finding Art), musicians (Soundcheck), history (SCV in the Movies, Legacy, documentaries), and a weekly magazine interview show (SCVTV’s Community Corner) about education, government, nonprofits and civic affairs.
