Want something different? NOT L.A? Feels like somewhere else? Even another time? Be anywhere else while still being 2 minutes from the 101, 134 and 170 freeways. So many locations in one space! Film in a large, classic, ranch style house with vintage features. From 1950 -1990's. Natural, huge front yard with a massive, historic Oak tree and bending Acacia. Great privacy from branches that reach to the ground. 7500 square feet of property. When you're in it, this house feels special and invigorates your creativity. This is a production house. Most everything can be moved or removed. Go from distressed Americana to vintage chic to current classic. Tons of cool props and a baby grand piano included. Texture options! Outside; wood fences, white brick walls, cement block walls, trees, leaf walls. Inside; Monochromatic Painted walls, mirrored wall, distressed wall, wallpaper walls, hand sanded antique wood floors, turquoise porcelain tile, painted cement floors and black and white checkerboard tile floor, plus a roll down, green screen back drop available. The house has a spacious layout with original rustic hard wood floors and a vintage 1950's kitchen. Green formica counters and large windows. 3 bedrooms, a solarium with a concrete floor painted in bright, primary colors which overlooks the backyard with an overgrown Bougainvillea as the centerpiece, a dining room with a mirrored wall, a library/study/office, a full vintage bathroom with a separate shower and a turquoise-tile & a pink bathtub. There’s also a distressed half bathroom. French doors, many wood framed windows, and a wood burning fireplace with mantle and red brick surround. Great natural light & Southern charm! Extremely close to Universal Studios and Warner Bros, with immediate access to the 101, 170 and 134 freeways, this convenient film location has free street parking and is walking distance to many neighborhood restaurants, a coffee bean & tea leaf, a deli and other amenities.     Khrystyne is absolutely lovely to work with, extremely responsive, and made us feel very welcome. When we needed additional pictures of the hallway for our director she had them to me in just a few minutes. The house is chock full (like... extremely packed) with stuff, so it is extra work to navigate, but she was great about moving it out of the rooms we needed to shoot in advance. She was also very accommodating for our scout schedule. Word to the wise-- the neighborhood is hostile toward productions (the house is on a cul-de-sac).

    The Oak House was an incredible location. Khrystyne was an awesome, generous, and friendly host whom we loved working with. The house is very versatile and can be used for a lot of different looks, periods, etc. I'd absolutely recommend shooting here, and can't wait till our team is able to do so again!
