About the Space

A cedar lodge set in three hectares of regenerating native bush on the northern edge of Auckland, with the fairways of a golf course running along its boundary. The property has hosted guests for twenty years and has already worked as a location for television and commercial shoots. It is 30 minutes from Auckland city and about 40 minutes from the north-west Auckland studio corridor. WHAT YOU CAN SHOOT HERE The Great Lounge: stone open wood fireplace, cedar-lined gable ceiling, floor-to-ceiling glazing onto bush and fairways. Reads as alpine lodge, country house or high-end holiday home. The deck and balconies: a long timber deck over the bush canopy and two upstairs balconies looking across the golf course. Four king suites, each with an ensuite double spa bath, walk-in shower and a private balcony or patio. Egyptian cotton, kitchenette, neutral palette. Dining room seating eight, entry foyer with travertine floors, and a planted entry walk. Grounds: native bush with walking tracks, tui, kereru and fantails, a golf course backdrop with no buildings in shot, and a long drive up through the trees. Drone-friendly over the property (flights over the fairways need the course's agreement). PRACTICAL Sealed road and private drive; parking at the door for around ten vehicles, larger trucks by arrangement. Standard domestic power; bring a generator for lighting rigs above domestic load. Comfortable for crews up to about 25. Bathrooms, kitchenette and a green-room space available. The guest wing has its own private entrance, so a shoot can run without going through the family home. Overnight: the four-suite wing sleeps eight, so cast or crew can stay on site. Ask for accommodation rates. HOUSE RULES A quiet property with the owners living on site. Bookings are confirmed by the owner, not instantly. No amplified music outdoors, wrap by 10pm, no smoking indoors, no marquees or catering trucks. Drop-off catering or a private chef is welcome. Small styled events (product launches, brand dinners) for up to 20 people are welcome; this is not a party or wedding venue.
