About the Space

Welcome to the historic Case Study House from 1963, located just 20 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Rafael. As the only remaining Bay Area home from the influential Post-War II Case Study House program, sponsored by "Arts & Architecture" magazine, this house is a significant example of Mid Century Modern architecture. Our residence is a sophisticated and modern masterpiece of mid-century modern architecture. With its clean lines, sleek design, and expansive spaces, it offers the perfect backdrop for your next event. The living, dining, breakfast rooms, and kitchen can accommodate several event setups, with a capacity of 18 seated or 20 standing. All spaces except the master bedroom are available for use, and all rooms have direct access to the enormous deck, which is perfect for hanging out, catering, or simply enjoying the sweeping views of the China Camp State Park. The 1-acre garden can also be used for outdoor activities. For meetings and offsites, the large open floor plan, deck, and outdoor area are perfect for team-building activities and social events. High-speed WiFi, large presentation TV, and Google speakers are available for your use. Please note that this is a residential neighborhood, and carpooling or shuttles for large groups are encouraged to preserve parking for neighbors. The closest public transportation is the San Rafael Transit Center or the Larkspur Ferry.
