Located in an Arlington neighborhood lined with a patchy yard, bamboo lined fence, spring greenery and brick foundation. A swinging door welcomes you into your typical east coast entrance, bare bones- an old mailbox, less than special foyer with black stairs with out of date gray marble flooring. Galivant up to the second and top floor, where the rising sun or peering moon may meet you. Lucky 7 is the door to knock, where I, the first human Shine you’ll ever meet, welcomes you into her humble abode with hopes my apartment would become your braggadocio muse. Immediately, you’re met with ample colorful reflections of yours truly. The sun shines bright in this room of living, cozy and comfortable, black and gold L- desk tucked in the corner, just behind a banana colored chaise, adjacent to a plush taupe round sofa separated by a passport stamped lamp, sea floor green and gold end table. All which are nestled in front of a deep blood red console, 32” TV atop, surrounded by satin coral and creamy drapes accompanied with artwork of love, confidence and inspiration. Vintage carpet and floors throughout gives this home character and charm. Sunlit kitchen boasts a faded linoleum under your feet, black and white appliances, scratched oak wood cabinetry and gray inlet bar. Great space for your face and hair mavens to spread out their supplies. Spa oasis married old deco in the bathroom. Faux leaves planted on the door welcomes an tranquil meditative shower curtain surrounded by white walls, checkered black and white floor and tile. It has a sun inspired voyeur window for day shoots; bright and dim lighting for after hour inspiration. Warm bedroom tones boast boho vibes and global exploration. Grace Jones rules above the Japanese makeshift headboard, as she should. Melaninated browns of all tones reflect the love of self, others and the unknown.
