Norma was an actress and film producer of Hollywood’s Silent Era. A major box-office draw for more than a decade, her career peaked in the early 1920s, when she was among the most popular screen idols of the time. This building served as a cherished wardrobe sanctuary for Norma's acting friends, and became a social hotspot for luminaries of the golden era - including Charlie Chaplin, Bette Davis, Rita Hayworth, Elizabeth Taylor and Judy Garland. The front porch itself graced the "Gone with the Wind" set.
