About the Space

Welcome to a flexible analog photography, darkroom, studio, classroom, and gallery space designed for creative productions, intimate events, workshops, screenings, artist talks, photo shoots, and hands-on experiences. The space has a real working darkroom at its core, giving it a texture and atmosphere you will not get from a blank white studio. It is ideal for photo and video shoots that need an authentic creative environment, vintage/analog visual character, or a behind-the-scenes artist studio feel. The darkroom includes multiple enlargers, stainless steel sinks, safelights, trays, timers, archival washing options, drying areas, and other traditional black-and-white printing equipment. Use of specialized darkroom equipment, chemistry, scanners, or lab areas must be approved in advance and may require supervision. The front area is a flexible studio, classroom, and gallery-style space that can be used for small gatherings, creative workshops, portfolio reviews, art salons, meetings, pop-ups, screenings, and photo or video shoots. It can be arranged with tables and chairs for a class or meeting, opened up for mingling or production, or used as a casual lounge/gallery environment. The space has natural light during the day, a lived-in creative feel, and plenty of visual texture for content shoots. Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome. Alcohol may be allowed for private events with prior approval. Smoking is not allowed indoors. Guests are expected to respect the equipment, chemicals, artwork, and working areas of the space, and to leave the space tidy at the end of the booking.
