About the Space
Step inside this beautifully preserved historic temple — one of Sacramento’s most stunning architectural treasures, first opened to the public in 1920. Over the years, it’s been the setting for countless weddings, parties, concerts, meetings, and celebrations of all kinds. In 2001, the building was proudly added to the National Register of Historic Places, a true testament to its cultural and architectural significance. The Design & Architecture Designed by local architect Rudolph Herold, this remarkable five-story building showcases classic early 20th-century design with brick and terra cotta detailing, arched windows, and a distinctive tiled roofline. Every corner reflects the artistry and craftsmanship of its era — from the elegant pilasters on the façade to the intricate patterns that make the exterior so unique. While the south and east sides of the building feature decorative terra cotta and warm brickwork, the north and west sides reveal a simpler brick design, giving it a true old-city charm. A vibrant mural adds a modern touch to the west wall, celebrating the building’s creative spirit. Inside, you’ll find a mix of historic character and functional spaces — ideal for gatherings, events, or simply appreciating the building’s rich past. Whether you’re here for a private event, a creative shoot, or just to experience a piece of history, this temple offers a one-of-a-kind setting where vintage beauty meets timeless atmosphere.
