About the Space
Photography studio in Silver Lake / Echo Park area with rustic office spaces and urban kitchen. Private parking, VIP rooms, and equipment on-site. Large 14000 sq ft photo studio for photography and video shoots, meetings, auditions, and workshops. Our space has hard wood floors, wooden barn doors, large roll-up doors with natural light, and tall ceilings. Centrally located in Silver Lake with on-site parking and select inventory available to rent/add-on of Grip, Electrical & Lighting gear, as well as plenty of offerings for everything from production to events. The studio has a makeup area, styling area, and various bathrooms, as well as ample seating space for guests/clients. Open 7 days a week, 24 hrs/day. Parking on-site (10-15 spots) right next to our Loading Dock, as well as easy, unrestricted street parking in the surrounding areas. PLEASE NOTE: You are responsible for coordinating set up and break down within the hours of rental. OT is charged at $570/hr with a 15min grace period. Any additional equipment requested on the day from the studio will be charged within a week of wrap.

Our event at Hype Studio was nothing short of AMAZING! From the very beginning, the communication with Molly was clear, helpful, and kind. Molly was willing to work with us on our budget, and actually seemed genuinely excited to get us into her spectacularly gorgeous space at a price that worked for us. From the time we booked our event, an amazing Disco Glam 50th Birthday Bash, to the day of the party, communication and openness to help was always abundant and clear. We were allowed to come in the day before to make sure our projections and sound worked as we wanted, which was a HUGE relief. We booked the space for 8 hours, leaving two hours for set-up before our party, and the place was clean, the refrigerator was cleared out for us to use, toiletries were stocked, all kitchen essentials were clean and there for our use, and Jonathan, our personal host, was there at our disposal and ready to help! The studio space is beyond gorgeous, there is ample, safe parking, and we had the time of our lives!!! We will definitely be booking with Molly and Hype Studio again!!!

Molly and the Hype Studios team was a dream to work with. They truly were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for our shoot. The space itself is perfect for a large shoot with lots of movable flex spaces and an open layout. Cannot recommend this location enough!
