About the Space

The House was created in 2007 as not-for-profit community space for grassroots, fringe and outsider art. We offer an eclectic programme of events, workshops and performances, as well as a vegan cafe and food-bank. It is a unique space with an home-brewed post-apocalypse cyber-punk aesthetic, that has hosted thousands of gigs and hundreds of community groups over the years. There are two main performance / meeting spaces available, the Bunker on the ground floor, fully accessible, with an accessible unisex toilet. We have a professional barista machine and are fully licensed with a selection of ales, lagers, spirits, ciders as well as a wide selection of soft drinks. Our professional kitchen on the 1st floor is available for hire, Our crew are able to prepare food and snacks. The Bunker has a flexible stage, professional PA, monitors, digital desk and an excellent sound engineer available. Mic stands, mics and cables are available. We have a high quality camera and server for live streaming and recording over a high-speed Internet connection. There is DMX and Hue lighting. We have air-source heat pumps on each floor. Additionally, there is a make space under construction on the top floor with a 3D printer, X-Y CNC mill, vinyl cutter, badge makers etc. There is a professional colour printer available, crafting materials, shredder, pillar drill, scanner etc. The Bunker has a projector and a screen. The 1st floor Growlery has a 65" LED screen, flip chart etc. Please contact the host for custom pricing.
