Farm House Desert Ranch: Great Basecamp

About the Space

Our 20 acre property is an easy 1 hour and 15 minutes north of Hollywood (with normal LA traffic) in the Antelope Valley. Main house is a great basecamp with kitchen and bathrooms. Close to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve & Arthur Ripley Joshua Tree preserve. Originally built in 1947, our high desert ranch is currently being loved and revived. Perfect for old west style shoots, desert car chases, desolate crime dramas, or beautiful decay juxtapositions for getting artsy. We have five primary structures - main farm house, steel beam barn, two corrugated metal sheds and rickety cabin bunk house with more to explore - scattered farm equipment, old rusted van, rocks to climb on. There are plenty of long dirt roads (close to paved roads) around our place with no traffic. Our Airstream trailer is available as well. It can move to different areas of the property, however we ask 24 hours notice to move it. Wildflowers and vegetation varies depending on the time of year, but we have plenty of classic old-west style pine and juniper trees for an iconic cowboy-wild-country vibe against the gold of the fields.
