About the Space

Founded in 1886 and is the oldest Catholic parish in Pasadena. It is also one of the oldest churches in Los Angeles County. A famous Southern California architect, began designing and constructing the church, which was dedicated in 1926. The approach to the design incorporates Spanish and Mediterranean influences. The church's Romanesque Revival campanile bell tower is a landmark of Pasadena and can be seen from miles away. Decorated with beautiful Spanish Style buildings, plenty of lush greenery trees and bushes, sitting on the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and is on the borderline of Altadena and Pasadena. Huge wooden castle-like doors are found at the main entrance of the church leading into a large vaulted ceiling space before the altar. Exposed wooden beams and beautiful artwork decorate the church. The space radiates warmth coziness and the large stained glass windows beautify the light piercing through. Vast open grounds surround the church. The Parking lot adjacent to the church fits over 80 vehicles. North of the parking, the grounds boast a beautiful grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, known as the "Lourdes of the West".
