About the Space
Rio Rancho Verde is a 62 acre working Western ranch and production location, perched on the edge of the Tonto National Forest, in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, 25 minutes from North Scottsdale. The property offers a serene and secluded location, along with multiple distinctive looks within one location, making it ideal for photo shoots, commercials, film and television productions, fashion campaigns, branded content, music videos, product launches, documentaries, social media content and editorial photography. Production settings include barns, horse stalls, roping arena, round pens, turnouts, ranch roads (private), corrals, desert trails, mature saguaros, mountain vistas, open desert and landscaped areas. The ranch overlooks the Four Peaks Wilderness and offers unobstructed Arizona desert and mountain views with expansive natural light. Wide open skies, beautiful vistas, towering saguaros, desert landscaping and incredible sunrises and sunsets await you at Rio Rancho Verde. The property works especially well for Western, Southwestern, equestrian, outdoor lifestyle, fashion, adventure and luxury brand productions. Its size allows several completely different scenes without locating to another property. Horses and handlers may be available for an additional fee. Horse related scenes, ranch activity and equestrian lifestyle imagery can also be coordinated, depending on the project. Additional spaces may be available separately including a 2 bedroom suite with pool, a bunkhouse/casita and a luxury travel trailer. Please inquire regarding interior filming, talent holding, wardrobe, hair and makeup, green room use or overnight accommodations. The ranch has hosted commercial, editorial and entertainment productions, including projects involving Miranda Lambert, Boot Barn, Gibson Guitar, Four Seasons, Camping World, documentaries and Western television projects. We welcome location scouts and are happy to discuss larger commercial and custom productions along with multiday shoots.

Carmela was the most amazing host! She was professional, kind, and easy to work with. Wish I could shoot every shoot here!

Carmela was an absolute joy to work with, she is a living breathing embodiment of her breathtaking property. If you're in Arizona looking for a location to shoot, look no further. Her and her husband are the best!!!

This property is just incredible! There are so many beautiful pockets to shoot around the ranch, and Carmela is a fantastic host with a clear understanding of the type of support productions might require. We also rented the Bunkhouse on property to use as a staging area and a clean, comfortable place to cool off during down time. We decided to incorporate one of their beautiful horses into the shoot as well, which worked beautifully. I cannot recommend this location enough, and can't wait to come back and shoot another project there with Carmela!

Carmela and the Ranch are magnificent! Extremely accommodating, beautiful and very big! I'd book here 100 times over.
