About the Space

Our Vineyard & Winery is a small boutique winery specializing in handcrafted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Founded in 1988 by the Beko family, our vineyard and winery is located in Santa Maria Valley on the northern edge of the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail in Santa Barbara county wine country. Come visit us at our beautiful 78 acre estate and taste distinctively different age worthy wines. Our secret to produce distinctively different age worthy wines is found in our vineyard & our wine caves. We hand harvest our fruit when slight tropical flavors are detected, which is usually around 24 brix. Due to the natural high acidity of our fruit, lees can remain in contact with the wine until bottling, increasing flavor extraction without overpowering the fruit/oak/acid balance. The fruit’s natural high acidity in combination with the cave conditions creates very long-lived and age-worthy wines which slowly develop over many years, and near perfection when aged 8-12 years. Wine caves are subterranean structures built for the purpose of storing and aging wine. Owner and winemaker, Norm Beko, hand-built out custom wine cave doors out of 200-year-old redwood tree from an old Ohio bridge.
