The 1980’s Retro Modern Estate is gated with a long private drive to a secluded hillside setting, this “Haptor Estate” has privacy and lots of space, both indoors and outside, nestled up in the hills of Longridge Estates in Sherman Oaks. In all directions one is uncrowded, with room to breathe, relax and watch the hawks gyre on the updrafts on this 1 ½ acres. While grand, the residence is still grounded in nature, and set carefully in its hillside setting with a Japanese Zen garden by noted landscape designer Howard Oshiyama who, as a Zen Buddhist, endowed the site with its own spirit which is palpable.
