About the Space

Built on the lines of a Shetland Isles Beach Boat, “Cormorant” is an 18-foot classic sailing vessel. Up to four people can travel aboard the boat on the water. Any food and beverages are acceptable. The starting rate is $150 per hour when dry-docked at our Carpinteria 1920’s farm house set in an avocado orchard. Although the boat only accommodates 4 people, the farmhouse location can accommodate a crew of up to 20 people. The boat can be trailered to any location on land or on water. I can arrange whatever is necessary to make your event a success including transport and/or a second boat to film from if necessary. I can pilot the boat or man the secondary boat. Please contact me to discuss the logistics and the fees for whatever you desire. The boat has sailed extensively in Baja California and at the Channel Islands. Powered by oars and sails, “Cormorant” is descended from Viking longboats and the working boats of the northern Scottish Islands. Some of the boat's adventures to date have been documented in various publications.
