The space is unfurnished, with the exception of the bed on the second floor. The kitchen is newly renovated, stainless appliances, custom porcelain countertops and kitchen island. White cabinetry.
Walking up the black diamond checker plated stairs to the 3rd floor you will find a Den and a walk out to a large rooftop terrace with city views. The terrace also has a custom outdoor kitchen, with stone counter tops and a bbq built in. There is also a jacuzzi outside.
What makes this space ideal is that it is zoned commercial/residential and there is parking on Carlaw. Recently there was an entire unit parked on Carlaw, shooting a long format job for a week. This building also has a loading dock, perfect for a package truck to back in and unload gear. The elevator which will take your gear to the space, could not be any closer to the loading bay. It's an oversized elevator (long), and the hallways on the second floor are double wide. Again, perfect for lining up bins full of gear along the hallway if need be. This is also a very quiet building from what I have gathered. I rarely see any other business owners or tenants, so the chances of inconveniencing anyone is quite slim, versus going into an overshot residential neighbourhood.
I believe that the unfurnished aspect is ideal, no need to juggle furniture around, no paintings to take down, very easy for locations team to prep. A blank canvas! and if you're looking to shoot something table top, the neutral porcelain island would be perfect. The high ceilings will make it easy to light!
